FURTHER PRODUCT INFORMATION
JOKERFarb-STZ is a silicate paint to paint mineral substrates such as cement, cement-lime render and thin-layered mineral top coats. Besides, it can be used to paint raw surfaces made of concrete and bricks, blocks, hollow tiles and other such ceramic or lime-sand materials. Mineral thin-layered top coats can be painted with the JOKERFarb-STZ silicate paint on the third day after they were applied. JOKERFarb-STZ is also suitable to repaint surfaces coated earlier with silicate paints. The JOKERFarb-STZ fagade paint can be used both indoor and outdoor and is available in a range of colours in Arsanit Colour Chart.
JOKERFarb-STZ is the latest generation silicate paint made of liquid potassium glass with an addition of high quality fillers and chemicals. JOKERFarb-STZ reacts chemically with the substrate in the silicification process to penetrates into its structure. The paint coat is matt, smooth, without rivelling or cracks, and is resistant to dirt. It is vapour-permeable, ensures a free transport of water vapour and release of moisture through the material where the paint was applied. Hydrophobic additives protect the substrate after painting against moisture that penetrates from the outside. JOKERFarb-STZ has excellent coating properties and perfectly complements the texture of the surface. The paint is resistant to weathering, precipitation and any type of aggressive compounds.
The JOKERFarb-STZ silicate paint is supplied as a ready to use product. Before application, stir thoroughly to obtain homogenous consistency. You can dilute the paint, particularly if working with the product at the substrate temperature or the ambient temperature close to the maximum allowable temperature (+25°C). Use JOKERGrunt-ST for dilution (up to 0.5 L for 10 liter). Such dilution proportions should be applied for the entire surface to be painted. Use the undiluted paint for final painting.
Apply a thin and uniform layer of JOKERFarb-STZ on the prepared and primed substrate. You can use a roller, brush or spraying method once or twice depending on the substrate absorption and structure. Continuity breaks during painting should be planned in advance, for example in corners and bends, under discharge pipes, between different colours, etc. Applying paint on a surface should be continuous (“wet on wet”) so avoid breaks during the application. Protect the painted surface from direct sunlight, wind and precipitation during work and the drying period. The drying period depends on the substrate, temperature and relative air humidity and is from about 2 to 6 hours. NOTE: In order to avoid differences in shades of coloured paints, apply paints with the same batch number on a single surface. As a result of painting, there is a slight smoothing of the substrate texture naturally. Painting of the surfaces differing in textures and technical parameters can give the effect of various shades of one paint colour. From a chemical point of view, a silicate paint coat after drying is impossible to remove without a risk of damage to the surface. Thus, protect all elements adjacent to the painted surface, i.e. window panes, window and door frames and other interior elements.
This information is the basic guidelines for using the product and does not release the holder from the obligation to perform works according to the building practice and OHS regulations.
For two coats on a smooth surface, the average consumption is 0.30 L/m2 of the paint. In practice, the consumption depends on the thickness of the paint layer applied on the surface and substrate absorption and texture. Therefore, we recommend determining it by testing. STORAGE AND TRANSPORT:
Transport and store the paint in tightly sealed buckets, in dry conditions, at the temperature from +5°C to +25°C (preferably on pallets). Protect against overheating and frost! NOTE: Protect eyes and skin. Seek medical advice on direct eye contact.
Up to 12 months of the manufacture date.
